The Smallsports program was
written by Director, Peter Pollock
(Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education)
Peter was a professional athlete for 5 years and has
been coaching since 1986. He has literally coached tens
of thousands of children of all ages in schools around
Queensland. In 2000, Peter was awarded the Australian
Sports Medal for his contribution to the development
of sport in Australia. In 2002 his passion for participation
saw him collect a gold medal at the World Masters Games
in Melbourne.
Director, Rick Petterwood, another
sports nut, adds leadership to Smallsports Pty Ltd.
Rick has had an involvement in sport in a diversity
of roles such as a player, referee, coach and administrator
since early childhood. He has, for a long time, been
a sponsor of the Brisbane Bullets. He is a Director
of several businesses relating to marketing and sports
merchandising. Rick also participated in the World Masters
in 2002
Chief Executive Officer, Jamie Weinert (Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports Coaching). has been involved in a variety of sports as a coach and competitor including AFL, Triathlon, Cricket (Indoor & Outdoor) and Swimming. Jamie’s passion is to provide education for both the child and parent in sporting concepts and gross motor development.
Our instructors are from either,
a coaching or early childhood education background.
All Smallsports instructors have their suitability cards.
